Tom
Sanchez (also listed as Tommy Sanchez on many CD's) began playing
guitar at age 9. Born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Tom was
quickly drawn to the blues and early blues-influenced rock. After
performing with a handful of bands during high school it was off
to Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) where Sanchez graduated
with a Degree in Music specializing in Music Production and Engineering.
Once again
making his home in Chicago, Sanchez began working as recording engineer
and quickly developed a reputation as an in-demand studio guitarist.
While in Chicago Tom had played in many bands, most notably Liquid
Soul, Soulvitamins and Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners. Tom has recently returned to the San Diego area after living in Midwest for several years and continues to perform
(with his band HBS and others), record and teach. For more information
see the lists below and check the Discography.

"The
immortal JB's also haunt the wonderfully caffeinated THREADIN THE
NEEDLE, with Williams' lusty outbursts recalling Maceo Parker and
the chicken-scratch guitar of Tommy Sanchez (Liquid Soul's secret
weapon) echoing Jimmy Nolen."
— MUSICIAN
MAGAZINE
"Guitarist
Tommy Sanchez spends most of his time holding down a formidable groove,
but steps out on occasion to show off some serious and musically
eclectic chops."
— GUITAR

"...styles
ranging from corrosive fusion fueled by the Hendrix-style licks of
guitarist Tommy Sanchez..."
